Radney Foster, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, and Jake Owen added to concert line-up to benefit kids battling cancer at St. Jude

NASHVILLE, TN (May 13, 2010) – Capitol Records Nashville’s Darius Rucker will host his 1st Annual “Darius and Friends” concert in Nashville, Tennessee at The Wildhorse Saloon (120 2nd Ave. North., Nashville) on Monday, June 7 to benefit the groundbreaking research and lifesaving care of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. The concert will include performances by Rucker and country music friends Radney Foster, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, and Jake Owen with additional performers being announced at a later date; doors will open at 8:00 p.m.; concert to begin at 9:00 p.m. Tickets to the event are on sale now by visiting www.ticketmaster.com. 

Rucker is a loyal St. Jude supporter who has visited patients at the hospital and performed at multiple events in support of the hospital’s lifesaving mission.  After touring the facility in 2009, Rucker vowed to create a personalized event that would raise money and awareness for St. Jude.

“The friends joining me for this benefit concert all share the same dream I do for a cancer free world, but until that can happen, we need to raise awareness and funds for this incredible organization,” says Rucker.  “It’s going to be a great night of music and stories.”
 
All proceeds from ticket sales will help St. Jude continue its mission of finding cures and saving children fighting deadly diseases.
